Complementing her medical studies and extensive postgraduate training, she has also studied art at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Chico Art Center, and School of Light and Color with Susan Sarback in Sacramento. She teaches workshops locally and internationally in art quilting. Work has won numerous awards in quilting and fine arts venues.
