"A Bit Off Tilt"

Sandy Wagner

To compile a self portrait is thought provoking to say the least.  How does one look at ones self?  I am _______.  After much thinking of past and present, I decided that the black are in my life was the early death of my father and being left behind by my mother for many months.  She got her life together, but I was 11 and felt deserted.

As the years have gone by, colors have changed.  I got married, had three daughters, worked, and acquired five grandchildren - thus life has been good.  I pictured myself throughout the years balancing atop a rolling ball, juggling the daily tasks of family, fortune and whatever fell under the heading "other duties assigned".  Many strings have become attached over the years, some are gone, some have grown stronger, and some have changed. I am migraine plagued and do see stars often causing a slightly off center persons sometimes frayed at the edges.  But I love life, live in center persons sometimes frayed at the edges.  But I love life, live in the mountains, travel, sing in a barbershop quartet and eight part harmony group and play MUCH golf. I am happy with me and my life.
