Quilt 21 Jurors' Choice Award for 2000

It is with great pleasure that we announce the selection of "Flare" by Laura Cater-Woods of Billings, Montana, for the Quilt 21 Jurors' Choice Award for 2000.

Cater-Woods' lyrical approach to landscape imagery and her mastery of the medium led to the selection of "Flare" for this award.

The Juror's Choice Award, funded by an anonymous donor, provides $1000 in recognition of creative excellence in the field of art quilts. It will be presented during the Quilt 21: American Arts Quilts for the 21st Century opening on August 19th at the Brush Art Gallery in Lowell.
