Growing up without a refrigerator or freezer in a very hot climate, even
anticipating the prospect of crunching on ice cubes at my friend's home gave
me such joy.

Today, it reminds me to greatly appreciate the little pleasures of life.
The refrigerator has hot pepper door handles and the freezer has icecubes in
an extra special dessert dish.
