Wednesday, Our Floor is So Clean You Could Eat On It

In the fifties, it seemed
like the mothers of the world were competing for who could have
the cleanest homes, the whitest white laundry, the most sparkling
plumbing. At my house, the kitchen floor was always spotless. I
often thought we could eat off of it. (Machine pieced, hand
applique, hand quilted).
