Materials: Self-dyed cotton fabric, organza
Techniques: Self-dyed cotton fabric, silk-screened with acrylic paint,
computer printed images, machine pieced, appliqué and quilted.
Artist Statement:
The flag of Flanders (northern part of Belgium) is a black lion in a
yellow field. I used warmer colours to make my lion softer. The pattern
of the lion is made after the official logo of the Flemish community.
