Most of my quilts are joyful or silly, but somehow
I felt I had to make this one more serious. With the possibility of war
looming very soon, I wanted to find a way to emphasize what the horrors
of war bring. Children are the most innocent victims of war; often being
kidnapped and used as soldiers. I printed on fabric, photos and stories
of children at war from the websites for Human Rights Watch and BBC World
Service.
