This is the second piece of a series titled: " Seeing & Being Seen" This is titled: "As a little child, at it's Mother's breast, So Is my soul in Thee."

Artist Statement: The Series looks at when we choose to show up and when we have chosen or are not seen in our lives. As an infant, it is mostly adults who have preconcieved notions about what to expect about and from us, the infant. Our expectations clothes the infant.(encloses).To me the infant is so newly from The Beloved that it's memory of The Divine shines thru and that is why our hearts open at the sight of newborns. The bonnet is 3-d and is away from the rest of the piece. The infant, like the others in the series ,has it's arms completely wide open, to both fully give and receive.

The title is from a T'zai chant. The piece reminds me that I am ever loved by The beloved, in my heart's Blessed purity that comes from, returns to and is ever a part of the Divine. The Divine peaks out at us thru the gap of our expectations. The border reminds us that we are ever surrounded by The Beloved, even when we feel alone, solitary figure.
