"Barb the Bold,
Her Rarely Serene Highness of Clutter,
the Duchess of DoItTwice,
Dowager Empress of The Grand Shilly Shally"
Detail 1 -=- Detail 2
She's wearing the crown jewels consisting of an old Halloween sequin crown which has been embellished with doodads and the like. Her irreplaceable neck ornament consists of seam rippers, an inkless pen of great worthlessness, and empty plastic tubes which originally contained hand sewing needles. The neck ornament has been slightly embellished with dusty buttons, to which a scattering of mis-matched beads are attached.
Her Ruler-scepter (the ruler's ruler), considered an irreplaceable piece
of the Crown Jewels, has also been embellished. Included on the "waving" end is an antique tassle that hung on the Monarch's design board for centuries. An utterly divine piece that allows Her Majesty to wave away flies while
engrossed in her daily busy-ness. She wears the Royal Nails, a glittery (but cheap!) wrist watch, which at the moment continues to tell time, but over time the battery will discharge and she'll lose all track of time (which she does daily, annoying an often hungry King).
As usual, the ruler's ruler has flown from her hands and is headed for the carpet in Her Rarely's Private Chamber, where it will be discovered when the Royal She is on the verge of hysteria.Barb the Bold is posed before odd blocks that failed to fulfill their promises, clutter that improves with age. Her garments, made of the same in an attempt to improve the royal bank account, cause her shape to fade into the background. This is a good thing!
Her Majesty's eyes are very like the centers of the fabrics she stares at daily. There's more to be added to her story but I'm again running late.
Hey, here she is......... Pins and clothespins are glued to the quilt and people are encouraged to attach their own useless clutter to the lot already there.
